Hey, Welcome to Beauty Bruh. We all love healthy glowing skin, don’t we? You must have heard, ‘beauty starts from within’. It basically translates to you are what you eat (this doesn’t mean that if you eat a potato, you will be a potato, lol!).
Whatever you consume does affect your skin. If you have a healthy inner system, you’ll automatically glow! Let’s move on to the list of 10 Superfood for Glowing Skin.
10 Best Superfood for Glowing Skin
Quick disclaimer, No AI was used. I know the headings sound bizarre, but in my defense, I was in a jolly mood while writing this down. Basking in the sun with a salad bowl.
1. Avocados, All Time!
Avocado is popular for its skin benefits. Loaded with vitamin A, B, C, and E, it moisturizes the skin from deep within.
It also helps with wrinkles and provides protection from damage caused by the sun. It also contains various minerals and healthy fats that prevent acne and provide glowing skin.
2. But First Blueberries!
With loads of antioxidants, blueberries make for a great superfood. They help your skin look amazing if you eat them regularly.
Packed with vitamin A, C, and E which are all so good for the skin, adding them to your diet will do wonders for your skin!
3. Spinach, Seriously?
Oh! If you are wondering if Popeye has glowing skin or not? He did, Bruh! Spinach is packed with good things like Vitamin A, C, E, and K as well as many minerals that help cure acne and also improve overall skin health.
4. Walnut? Well!
What else can be better than this? Walnut is full of omega-3 and healthy fats that give natural glow to your skin. It repairs damaged skin and promotes the development of new cells.
I love munching walnuts in the morning and have great skin, ha-ha! (I’m kind of self-obsessed)
5. Tangy Tomatoes!
Tomatoes have vitamin A, B, and K that prevent acne and give a nice glowing skin. It is also loaded with Vitamin C that brightens the skin and acts as a natural sunscreen. (This doesn’t mean you can skip sunscreen.)
Apart from these, tomatoes can also be used as an astringent to help with large pores.
6. Beat Skin Worries With Beet!
Eat, drink, or apply – whatever floats your boat. It is all good for your skin! It is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and iron which gives you a nice pink complexion and glowing skin.
It purifies blood and helps in fighting different skin damage like dark circles and acne.
7. Delicious Dark Chocolate
Do you also carry chocolates in your bags or store them in the fridge? Well, I do love to stock them up!
I just love rich dark chocolate, not only they are tasty but also good for the skin. They improve blood circulation and keep your skin hydrated, believe it or not!
But always keep in mind that the dark chocolate you are eating must have a high amount of cocoa as it is responsible for skin improvement. (Doesn’t feel best writing about chocolate while having a salad.)
8. Kiwis
A whole package of vitamin C and antioxidants, this fruit is one of the best ingredients to be added to your smoothie! It does wonders for your skin. Gives you youthful and radiant skin if consumed frequently.
9. When Life Gives You Lemon, Take It!
How can I not include this in my top 10 list?! Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C which is obviously good for skin but it also helps our body to make collagen that gives us youthful and healthy skin.
10. Thanks, Turmeric!
Turmeric is a renowned Asian spice. It has a great amount of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that heal the skin from within. Drink it with milk (turmeric latte, anyone?)
Think twice before applying though. It gives you a really nice glow but it does stain.
This brings me to the end. You can comment below your thoughts and also share your experiences with these superfoods if you have any.
Stay beautiful, xoxo!
